Make pots, plates and sculptural animal forms in clay. Press into plaster press moulds attach clay together and decorate with coloured clay slips.

We will glaze your work with clear glaze.

Membership Opportunities are available to work independently in the studio 20 hours per week. Firing and glazes included. A minimum commitment of two months, 50% discount on courses.

Members can access our Hammersmith and Barnes studios. Member skill shares include raku firing/candle making/ printmaking /throwing on the wheel/open studio twice a year, opportunity to sell your work in our open studios/Clay Galeria in Barnes.

Intensive throwing for one week course is suitable for beginners/improvers 10.00-1pm Monday-Friday. Learn how to centre clay & throw cylinder shapes on the pottery wheel. Pull a handle​, work with leather-hard clay using turning tools on the pottery wheel, add carved details and add handles, join two or more parts together. Glazing will be arranged two weeks later when all work has dried and been bisque fired.

We include all materials and firing costs and supply all tools and an apron.

A four or eight weeks hand building course on Mondays or Wednesdays. During this course you will learn hand building techniques: pinching, coiling, sculpture techniques and slab building.
Projects are self directed and you will learn how to sculpt clay, make plates, cups, bowls, sculptures and vessels. Apply a glaze to your fired work. Course is Inclusive of all materials and firing costs.

Coil build organic shaped vases with Margarida Neves inspired by the natural qualities of clay, this weekend course runs on Saturdays & Sundays from 10-1pm, you will be guided step by step and learn how to roll coils, mix different clays together to create natural tones & textures keeping the raw beauty of the material visible.

Shape your vessel into forms that reflect the quiet strength found in nature.

A four or eight weeks throwing course suitable for beginners & mixed ability learners.
During this course you will learn how to centre the clay on a pottery wheel, throw cylinder shapes, you can make cups, bowls and vases. Learn how to turn a foot on the base of your pot and add handles. Projects are self directed. Apply a glaze to your fired work.
